The Effects on

Cyber Crime

 Webinar Presented by

The number of cyber-attacks has risen by 27% in the last 3 months.

The development of the COVID-19 epidemic into a global pandemic has presented a unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fraud and predation which cyber threat actors, both criminal and otherwise, have been quick to exploit to the fullest. Throughout the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mimecast observed a 27% increase in the total volume of cyber-attacks and campaigns via a variety of attack methodologies in the last 3 months. Many of the threats targeted people who were self-isolating, working remotely, or were vulnerable due to the impact of the current crisis.

Threat actors will always seek opportunities for exploiting chaos, confusion, and uncertainty to their advantage. Threat actors will continue to exploit this uncertainty with the phased return to work process. As the phased return to work progresses, threat actors are likely to target home networks for compromise to “piggy back” into business networks.

In this webinar, our experts will explain the types of threats and attacks methods witnessed and give tips on how to improve your current security processes.

This webinar is for CISOs, CIOs and other Information Security professionals who are looking for a more efficient way of targeting and managing the increasing number of security threats, as well as improving their current security processes.
