As the threat of ransomware attacks generates increasing attention in the boardroom, does awareness around this threat actually change the priorities of a CISO? How are CISOs able to effectively communicate these threats to the board? Faced with managing risks from many different threats, does it ever make sense to increase the focus on one specific threat like ransomware?

We’ve been investigating how to measure the fundamental security controls around ransomware and how CISOs should communicate with the board around it and have decided… it’s not that straightforward. To mitigate the risk of a successful ransomware attack, CISOs and their teams need strong visibility and measurement of the key controls that span the infiltration, propagation, and exploitation stages of this type of attack. The data required to create this visibility is locked away in disparate information silos for each individual control.

Panaseer will be moderating a peer discussion exploring how to overcome these challenges. During this session, the group will be discussing and collectively answering:

  • What is the importance of focusing on a specific threat like ransomware?
  • Should ransomware protection change the priorities of a CISO?
  • What is the best way to report and communicate ransomware risks to the board?
  • What are the protections and controls an organisation needs to have in place to protect against ransomware?
  • How do you continuously measure enterprise-wide ransomware protection levels?

Why Attend.

By participating in this virtual boardroom, you will also:

  • Discuss amongst peers how to tell the ransomware protection story to your board

  • Insight into how organisations are automating measuring the effectiveness of their ransomware protections through continuous controls monitoring

  • Discuss some of the most effective controls to use when protecting against ransomware, and crucially, how to ensure they are working as intended

Solution Partner.

Panaseer is the first Continuous Controls Monitoring platform for enterprise security. We help stakeholders to make informed, risk-based security decisions. Our platform shows you every asset, application, user and data set across your IT estate in real-time. This identifies gaps in controls coverage, aligns security with framework standards and substantiates regulatory compliance.

Our automated reports significantly reduce reporting time and tailor insights to stakeholders at every level, enhancing decision-making from the boardroom to the analyst. These insights can also be mapped to the organisation’s structure, so you can prioritise risk based on impact to the business. Enterprise security leaders around the world trust our platform to help them make better security decisions.
